His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Minister of Energy, accompanied by His Excellency Minister of State Hamad Al-Sheikh and His Excellency Bandar bin Ibrahim Al-Khorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, conducted a tour today of several factories specializing in the production of components for the energy sector in Riyadh Industrial City. The tour comes as part of the ongoing efforts by the Kingdom’s energy ecosystem to enhance localization in the energy sector. The goal is to achieve a 75% localization rate in energy sector components by 2030. During the visit, His Royal Highness and accompanying officials reviewed the production processes of energy equipment, electrical panels for connection, control, automation, and distribution, as well as smart ring main units for power stations.
